Target audience: Pesticide employees (Handlers/Applicators, Supervisors), EH&S, Facilities Grounds/Landscape, Agricultural & Natural Reserves, Agricultural Operations, Researchers (optional).

Fees: There is no registration fee for this course for UC staff. However, travel costs and meals outside this training are the responsibility of the home department.

What to expect

MEALS

Lunch will be provided free to attendees. Please note that reimbursement for meals in lieu of those provided at the training is NOT allowed under UC policy G-28.

The UCSC Seymour Center, La Feliz Ballroom is located at 100 McAllister Way, Santa Cruz, CA 95060.

PARKING

One-Day temporary permits cost $10.00. Visitors may purchase a temporary 1-Day permit from the Main Entrance Kiosk located on Coolidge Drive, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hourly and daily parking options are available in several locations via ParkMobile. Find out more about ParkMobile and which lots allow payment via ParkMobile.

When you arrive , park in Lot 201 (next to Seymour Center) and use ParkMobile App to pay (daily rate of $10). If Lot 201 is full, use Lot 206 (0.25 mile from Seymour Center).

Reciprocity for parking permits from other campuses is available but requires some advanced planning. To use this option, you will need to:

  1. Before you travel, ask your location’s parking office email tapssales@ucsc.edu to confirm you have a long-term permit and are eligible

  2. Once at UCSC, show your ID and parking permit to the TAPS sales office in the H Barn on the UCSC lower campus between 7am-5pm Monday-Friday to obtain UCSC daily parking passes.
